Have you heard of Multipure Water Purifier Systems?

Water makes up more than 2/3 of the human body and is very vital to every living organism.  However, clean and safe drinking water is not always available and accessible especially when you live in a third world country.  Many would rather consume unsanitary water which contains bacteria such as E. coli, salmonella than none at all and be exposed to various illnesses such as diarrhea, gastrointestinal flu, amoebiasis.
Why is clean and safe water essential?
*Clean and safe water is necessary for us to stay alive in this world.  We use it for drinking, cooking, bathing, cleaning, nourishment, and watering plants.
*Clean and safe water is needed to prevent the spread of diseases.  With the ongoing scare of the 2019 Coronavirus (COVID 19), it has been stated that the best prevention is to constantly wash your hands.  If you don’t have clean water, even washing your hands won't prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
*Clean and safe drinking water helps in getting rid of toxins.  It aids the body to get rid of all kinds of toxins, whether they are created due to bodily reactions or ones that occur because of the consumption of contaminated water.
*Clean and safe drinking water keeps you nourished.  Water helps in keeping our organs healthy and it allows the blood to maintain consistency in flowing freely while transporting oxygen and nutrients to every cell of the body.
Though many benefits from the availability of bottled water and water shops, it does not guarantee the long-term water delivery and sanitation infrastructure improvements needed, aside from being costly.
The best way to ensure that you have clean and safe water all the time is to get a water filtration system that is guaranteed to work 100%.  This way, you can drink water straight from the source without having to worry about its cleanliness.

All these benefits can be found in Legánde’s Multipure Drinking Water Systems that uses its proprietary Solid Carbon Block Technology since the ’70s.  Multipure Drinking Water Systems includes the AquaDOME, AquaVERSA, and AquaMINI that have been tested, backed and certified by NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation) - NSF/ANSI 42, Aesthetic Effects; NSF/ANI 53, Health Effects and NSF/ANSI 401, Emerging Compounds and Incidental Contaminants.    The units can be upgraded with a Legánde Pre-filter to prolong the life of your carbon block filter.  The Company also offers the AquaSHOWER which is tested and certified by the Water Quality Association according to NSF/ANSI 177 and guarantees the removal of 90% or more of free chlorine.

You can purchase Legánde’s Multipure Water Drinking Water Systems via www.Legande.com or visit them at Suite 406 West Tower, Philippine Stock Exchange Center, Exchange Road,  Ortigas Center, Barangay San Antonio Pasig City, Metro Manila Philippines, 1605.  You can also check their Facebook Page to send a message.

Treats for VDay (Attention: Yourself!)

I grow up that February 14 is a celebration for two persons whether you are a couple, married or in a relationship, this is a special day for you.

But, later on, I realize that Heart's Day is not doomsday for singles like me.

We can celebrate it today by treating ourselves (it is sweldo time too) even without partners or your other half to shower us gifts or surprises.

Until February 15 only, a box of hearts for your sweet tooth!

Dunkin Donuts has released its own glazed mine heart-shaped donut.

One box contains four pieces and you can have it for 55 pesos only! But if you want to share it with your loved ones, purchase the three boxes for 149 pesos

This promo is available nationwide.

Complete your happy treat with a drink!

Jollitea launches its newest milk teas that are perfect for Valentine! It is called Romantic Escape.

You can choose between Dark Belgian Choco (69 pesos for Large and 79 pesos for Extra Large) and Berry Special (79 pesos for Large and 89 pesos for Extra Large)

Dark Belgian Choco has a deeper chocolate taste compare to their Choco Mousse and Double Dutch.

Meanwhile, Berry Special is a mixture of their Strawberry and Blueberry.

I prefer the Dark Belgian Choco! It surely makes me remember my favorite chocolate drink when I was a kid.

Good news because the Romantic Escapes drinks are available until May 2020!

Jollitea is located at  2250 Legarda St. Sampaloc, Manila. We are located along Legarda St. near LRT Legarda and across Lawson Convenience Store.

Lastly, give yourself a present!

You can buy a new pair of shoes or the bag that you've been wanting to own.

I decided to use my Bayo GCs and purchase these two tops as my Valentine's gift for myself.

Remember yourself on February 14 too. Whether you celebrate it with a small or simple treat, the important thing is you make your heart happy.

Is it One Last Time, Bad Boys for Life? (Movie Review)

I'm seriously not a fan of action films because I hate too much violence and gore scenes.

I'm currently writing a short story that needs action scenes and the Bad Boys' latest installment seems to be the perfect answer to push my imagination.

Honestly, I haven't watched the two movies from the franchise but I read the stories before heading to the cinema.

The advanced screening happened last January 19, 3 pm at Sm Megamall Cinema 7. It was a National Popcorn day too so the moviegoers got unlimited popcorn for free!

Thank you to Play FM and Sm Cinema!

Here are my thoughts about the third Bad Boys movie and this might contain spoiler!

1. Death Experience and Retirement

Photo from Flash Film Rejects

Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) decided to retire and be a great Grandpa to his first grandchild. His partner, on the other hand, Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) will work as a detective until he is 100 years old. Yet, someone wanted Mike to die. He was targeted by an unknown assassin who is seeking revenge. The different views and life plans of the two friends cause fall-out and misunderstanding for both of them.

2. Team AMMO

Photo from Tag24

This is headed by Mike's ex-girlfriend, the sexy and gorgeous Rita (Paola Nunez) who is leading the three members: the brave Kelly (Vanessa Hudgens), the techie and ex-bouncer Dorn (Alexander Ludwig) and the tough Rafe (Charles Melton) who helped Mike and Marcus to track down finding the person who started killing the people who are connected to a case that Mike handled a few years ago. I like this squad especially Dorn!

3. Bruha and her Son

Photo from Comicbook

There is a lot of plot and twist in the movie and my favorite is with Isabel Aretas. She and Mike had something in the past and surprisingly, her being called a 'witch' make the story more entertaining than frightening. Watch out for her hot son Armando who has had badass moves and a secret is revealed!

Ending: The surprise credit makes you wonder if there will be BB4!

Verdict: If the all-action film is like Bad Boys For Life, I would surely become a fan! I love it! I laugh a lot from the beginning until the last scene! It was a great movie to start my 2020!

Perk's Be With You's rating: 10.5/10.5 (Martin Lawrence's dialogues are the funniest!

Bad Boys For Life will be showing tomorrow (January 22) in all cinemas! Go and watch it because it is definitely not one last time!

Making a difference for 2020!

Every November, I already planned the journals that I will be using for next year.

Last 2019, I had none.

I was not excited to buy the usual and popular planners that I own every year.

At some point, I thought that I don't have plans for 2020 and that made me scared.

I don't dwell and follow too much what I write with the journals. I use it as my diary and reminder of what I need to do.

I decided to have two planners.

One for my everyday writing (which I'm trying my best) and the other one is for important reminders.

The first stop is the one that I bought during the MIBF

I have this for months and I forgot how much was it. But, it was not more than 300 pesos. Up until the end of November, I was having a doubt if I'm going to use it.

What changed my mind

The colorful design, the inspiring quotes and mostly the motivating contents inside. I feel like this is the planner that will help stay track for 2020.

And it is.

I've been trying my best to write every day unless I'm too tired or very sleepy.

My other planner which I haven't written anything is the one that I bought from National Bookstore.

It is a monthly planner and it costs 59 php. I planned to scribble other things and important stuff like the events I will be attending. Hopefully, a lot than in 2019.

The simplicity of the cover captivated it. I didn't peek what is inside when I purchased it. As long as I can use it, I'm good.

How about you? What planner/journal is your organizer this 2020?

I'm Proud of You (Myself), 2019!

What is your proudest moment this year?

Losing weight? Reuniting with your family? Falling in love? Moving on? Finding yourself?

There are a lot of possible answers and whatever they are, be grateful for this year!

If it changes your perspectives and beliefs, a great job! If it makes you a better person than who you are in 2018, congratulations!

This 2019, I must say is not a good year for me.

Financially speaking.

There were days and weeks that I was about to cry because I didn't have money in my pocket. When I woke up, I would pray that I hope I would survive this day with less than 100 pesos.

In spite of it, I thanked the Lord because he does not abandon me. 2019 is a challenging year especially that I made a decision to release a new book.

Last April, I attended a workshop called Indie Publishing The Write Way.

My lovely workshop buddies and mentees!

It was organized by my awesome and talented friends, Cindy and Marigold of 8Letters. It opened my eyes that I can self-published my books.

I was scared though.

My manuscript was finished in 2017 and I already submitted it to some local publishing houses but unfortunately, it was rejected.

I found an incredible editor (Ate Melai), creative cover artist (Jahric) and a worth it printing house (spearheaded by Ate Joy). So far so good.

I was able to find an event where I could launch the book without spending too much money. I already shed my savings on the editing and printing processes.

The day before November 2, I was having a doubt.

Is it really happening? Will I able to sell my books?

The book launching of Once Upon A Stone was during the Philippines Romance Convention.

I'm thankful to Miss Maita for giving a platform for my novel.

With my fellow writers! Miss Maita is the one sitting at the center.

Words were not enough how happy and overwhelmed I was for those friends who came, dropped by, support and bought my books!

My favorite bookish friend!

My ever-supportive Frenny!

You made my book launched success!

It was only the beginning of the ride for me and Once Upon A Stone.

On the 30th of November, I was luckily invited as one of the guest speakers for the first Wordsmiths Guild Writing Workshop in Pangasinan.

All thanks to Raena and Mine for organizing a community for fellow writers.

Thank you Raena and Mine!

Not even my misbehaved tummy stopped me from sharing my knowledge to the aspiring participants. I just hoped that they learn something from me.

Ending my 2019 with a blog post of how proud I am surviving the year with ups and downs.

Looking forward to 2020 with an optimistic vision, inspiring heart, and a sound mind.

Perk's New Discovery: Loving My Skin More

I can say that this 2019 the skin on my face really improves. I might have breakout every now and then. But, I observe that my skin glowing and healthier compared to the previous years.

I'm grateful for the products that I am currently using and the brands that I discovered. Sharing them with you because they might works their magic too with you.

Keep Me Cool Bamboo Toner and Serum
-The first thing that caught my attention with these two products they both contained bamboo!

Wow! I received the sample packs when I attended #ABCommunityPH Meet and Greet as a thank you for being one of the registrants who paid early.

What I like
*Non-sticky~ Both have a watery texture.
*Odorless~ For the sensitive nose, this is perfect especially if you are into products that are not scented.

What I don't like
*Fast-Absorption ~The serum easily absorbs with my skin but I felt like that I didn't put anything.

Emu Restorative Soap
-Its been a while since I used a skincare product with Emu.

I discovered the One Organics when I attended the Cosmo Beauty Con and their team was very generous. Aside from the discounts that they were given, they also gave me a freebie! How awesome is that right?

I bought this soap because it was 40% off. I was overwhelmed when they gave me a free make-up remover!

What I like:
*Smell~ Emu has a great smell and I missed its fragrance.
*Texture~ I like that it is not rough. I can easily cut it off into two.

What I don't like:
*Effect~  At first, my skin is okay but later on, I felt that it became rougher.

Dermanatufian Toner and Serum

-These two were definitely the best find out for me this 2019! My current fave is the toner!

The generous RR Korean Shop gave the full sizes to every attendee during the #ABCommunityPH first meet-up!

What I like:
*Coolness~ The toner is really a winner for me! I love the feeling of being refresh every time I use it!
*Smell~ The mint scent is not too strong with toner. I like it!
*Thickness~ I'm glad that the serum is transparent. I can easily see how much I should apply on my face and at the same time left on the tube.
*Packaging~ The simplicity of how these two look like is a winner for me.

What I don't like:
None. Obvious that I'm a fan of both products!

I can't wait to share new product discoveries by 2020!
