Cafes with B!

I've been visiting and trying foods and drinks but I realized that I haven't featured them. The blog post is for the two cafes that I like recently.

I attended a workshop at Cavite and it was my first time at Sm Dasmarinas. The workshop was held at Buku Buku Cafe. As I entered the place, I was awed with the wonderful wallpaper.

Best wallpaper that I've seen! :)

It was artistically made that every time I looked at it, I was like seeing the outer space right through my eyes.

The set-up of the tables and chairs with pillows were arranged wonderfully.

There were books on the shelves where one can browse freely or buy to bring home.

The attendees ordered their lunch ahead of time and I was quite surprised with the foods that I picked. My set meals were spicy (not my type though not the cafe's fault) and they all had rice (yikes).

I could not handle the spiciness of the Tofu Teriyaki (125php).

Yet, I liked that the tofu was soft and the sauteed kangkong with sesame seeds was cooked well.

The Black Pepper Beef (149php) was better for me.

The spiciness that it gave was alright for me. The beef sukiyaki was tender to eat and the mushrooms were greatly sauteed.

Good thing, I took CafĂ© Con Miel (89 php) as my drink.

It saved my taste bud from all the spicy viands that I ate. The combination of espresso and honey served with vanilla and cinnamon was perfect, I hoped that the mug was a bit bigger though.

I would like to see their Las Pinas branch too and try their menu.

My long time vlog friend, Miss Aileen and I met at the newly opened Black Scoop Cafe at Gateway Cubao

I've been seeing awesome posts about their milktea and I was excited when we dine at the place.

I ordered their Pork Tocino and Wintermelon Milktea with Grass Jelly

These two were alright for me except the rice which I think it was half-cooked. The ambiance was nice but they need more tables and chairs.

I like to own one!

I would love to check out their other branches and enjoy their delightful drinks.

Well-spent Sunday at BGC!

You probably might read from my posts or blog features that I'm a certified fan of Harry Potter. Yes, I'm adult right now but a huge part of my childhood was growing up with the Harry Potter series. I read all the books and seen the films a couple of times.

When I come across with any HP related, I quickly go gaga. I saw the Potted Potter poster a few months ago and my heart broke because there was a hundred percent chance that I'm going to miss it again. It was their fourth show in the Philippines.

One day, one of my high school friends sent a PM in our group chat about Potted Potter and alas the rest of my girlfriends wanted to watch it as well. My Potter heart was dancing over the moon! My friend immediately bought our tickets.

Fast forward to March 24 for the last performance day for Potted Potter! I was early at the venue and it was actually my first time at the Maybank Performing Arts Theatre. The place was pretty cool with the colorful seats outside the theater.

The very funny and incredible actor, Joseph Maudley went to the audience, shook their hands and greeted the crowd. He was the one who delivered all the minor casts superbly.

The show featured the seven books of the Harry Potter series and made them into a parody. The 60 minutes show was hilarious and full of humor to the point that my cheeks were painful from laughing hard.

Delme Thomas who played the Harry Potter looked like Daniel Radcliffe! He portrayed the part excellently. The 1881 pesos that we paid each was worth it and if they will be having a fifth show, I would love to see it again!

After the show, we went Hungry Potters and ended up eating at Early Bird BreakfastThank you for the GCs!

It was my second time around at their branch and seriously, the setting didn't change much which was great. I celebrated my 25th birthday and to be back after five years, it was like coming home.

We tried their Butterbeer (155php) as our drinks because we still had a hang-over from the Potted Potter.

I ordered their Sweet Katcino, a chicken katsudon with tocino.

I loved how tasty it was and the quantity of the serving was overwhelming. I almost gave up eating everything because I was full already. (The price was worth it because it would truly satisfy your tummy)

Most creative menu that I've seen!
Meanwhile, my three friends were delighted with their meals: my mouth had a great time with the beef tapa, I liked it to the max the buttered chicken and though I wasn't able to taste the panini, B said she liked it.

It was a great way to end our fun day and yes, I can't wait to go back to Early Bird Breakfast again and hopefully watch Potted Potter when they come back (crossing my fingers next year)
